Joe is a founding partner of Summit Healthcare Group and oversees the firm’s general operations, guiding the day-to-day management of activities across all phases of development. With more than 20 years of experience in construction and development—and a concentrated focus on healthcare projects for 20 years—Joe plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency and strategic project delivery.

In addition to his operational leadership, Joe is responsible for structuring the financial framework of Summit Healthcare Group’s developments. His expertise in coordinating equity and debt allows SHG to deliver flexible, tailored financing solutions that align with each client’s unique needs and long-term objectives. Joe’s deep understanding of real estate finance, combined with his construction background, brings a rare balance of practical execution and financial acumen—enabling projects to move forward with both confidence and agility. In addition Joe is responsible for structuring our partnerships with clients, whether leasing or a variety of “outside the box” financial models, he captains client partnerships.

Joe is a graduate of Appalachian State University and has led the financial and operational strategy behind many of SHG’s signature developments. His project experience includes the Emory Dunwoody Medical Office Building, Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Office Building and Emergency Services Center in Bermuda Run, the Ambulatory Surgical Center in Clemmons, the Multi-Specialty Medical Office in Bryson City, and numerous healthcare facilities throughout North Carolina and the Southeast. Joe’s ability to bring financial clarity and structural creativity to complex developments continues to be a cornerstone of SHG’s success and client trust.
